Resident artist, Tracy Witelson, is a qualified specialist Fine Art teacher and accomplished exhibiting artist. She graduated from JCE in the eighties and taught for 12 years in a school and with various NGOs before opening her own studio in 2003. She runs classes for various age groups, from Grade 1 upwards. The lessons include art history and theory input to enrich the creative process encountered in the studio. The lessons are designed to help young artists grow through exploration and experience.

ARTISTS AT WORK
Tracy Witelson also works as teaching assistant to Greg Kerr, the respected academic and artist. She runs his beginner courses and consults in the advanced painting course. Tracy worked with world renowned Venda sculptor, Noria Mabasa and has held clay workshops with Noria, as well as learning more about using found wood for carving and sculpture.
Tracy has studied under Greg Kerr, Toni-Anne Ballenden and Richard Forbes.
